Embryonic stem cell research -- a new step to self destruction.

Will you support any scientific research that will one day result in a total destruction of human beings? Certainly, the American government had made a serious mistake by allowing the research on embryonic stem cell. This kind of research, though can bring scientists new findings, is actually an indirect way of murdering lives, and as a conscious person, I believe that the decision of allowing such research is a total failure.

Murder is condemned by all, and the research on embryonic stem cell which involves the killing of a new life, is absolutely not acceptable. In the research on embryonic stem cell, embryo or foetus which can eventually develop into a normal person like us are being destroyed. Although scientists might argue that embryo or foetus are very much different from a normal human beings, they are actually new lives who have their right to live on this world. Therefore, by destroying them for scientific research is just simply an act of murder which shall be comdemned by everyone of us.

Moreover, there is alternative way to carry out the same type of research without murdering a new life. Scientific researchs had discovered that human skin cells can be converted into embryonic stem cells which can be the new sources of embryonic stem cells research. With a althernative way which results in no destruction of human lives, there is no reason why researchers should still stick to the original type of research that involves the killing of new lives. Therefore, the decision of allowing embryonic stem cell research that involves the destruction of new lives is not a wise choice at all.

Although scientific research is important, it should not give us the excuse to cross the very ethical line. As embryonic stem cell research involves the killing of human foetus and there is also alternative way of doing it, it should forever be banned.
